Six startups have been invited to the accelerator as observers; Nanomed Diagnostic, Migport, FazlaGıda, Inid, Cambridge Motorics and Mark Labs.
In the acceleration period, running from 5 August to 13 September, participating startups will receive mentorship from international experts and partners, including the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations Development Programme, the UN World Food Programme, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Eczacıbaşı Holding, Limak Holding. Startups will also participate in a field trip in both Istanbul and Gaziantep to interact with beneficiaries, test the field and adjust their solutions.
The acceleration period will culminate in a Showcase event on 11 September in Ankara and a final Demo Day on 13 September in Istanbul.
From the Demo Day, two startups will be selected to represent the SDG Impact Accelerator at a United Nations General Assembly side event in New York.
